The series Secret Life of Trees was inspired by the book with a similar title. A community of trees exists mostly beneath the surface between their root systems. Even after one of its members is felled, it is slowly fed support. Above the ground, we more commonly notice the swiftness of industrial machines than the giants themselves. Broadly, the series addresses the differences and shapes characteristic of nature, machinery and wood carvings by humans.
